What is username/password authentication and how does it work?

Your 1688Proxy username and password are used to verify that it is really you who is trying to access our proxy services. You can set a custom username and password under Dashboard → Sub-accounts.

For residential proxies, we use the username you configure in the proxy settings. The username will change depending on the settings you choose. For example, suppose your base username is username. If you want to use IPs from the United States with a session duration of 5 minutes, your actual username might look like:

username-zone-custom-region-US-session-(sessionID)-sessTime-5

After obtaining your credentials from the dashboard, you can use them for authentication in your anti-detect browser, web scraper, operating system proxy settings, browser plugins, sneaker bots, and other tools.
